Have you ever thought about the magic of unpredictable? That is the charm of handmade jewellery. Every jewel I make is an unexpected outcome, totally different from my first thought. The combinations, the materials, and the possibilities are infinite. Silver, precious gemstones and a lot of fun are only a small piece of the raw materials of my inspiration.

Ioanna Thanou was born in Athens, and she studied Economics of Finance. Her passion for creativity and her curiosity about how to transform a soulless material into something magnificent led her to establish “Dono Di Dio jewels” company. “Dono di Dio jewels” took its name from the jewellery designer Ioanna, whose name means “God’s Gift” in ancient Greek.

Her inspiration…The different shapes and textures, the combination of colours, and the knowledge that beauty can derive from everything, even the most charmless element. “The only thing you owe to do is to set your imagination free to lead you to the most unexpected.” And this is the beauty of art…
